General Chinese adults; not a sports product; intended US manufacture and cross-border retail to individual consumers.
Position
A drinkable powder, one clear daily-use benefit, and taste and experience suited to the audience; all require testing.
Product classification, formula and serving size, packaging, target cost, first-order scale, brand promise and China eligibility.
FD1 is exploring a daily comprehensive nutrition drink for adults in mainland China, with IM8 as a benchmark. We intend to manufacture in the US and seek a partner to coordinate formulation, sourcing, samples, testing, manufacturing and packaging. We want to compare custom and early-stage stock options, including pilot size, cost, timing and finished-goods delivery.
IM8 benchmark
Benchmark: IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials PRO, US website, accessed October 27, 2026. This product comparison does not imply formula or efficacy equivalence.
| Dimension | IM8: public product information | FD1: current direction |
|---|---|---|
| Position | Daily Ultimate Essentials PRO: a daily comprehensive-nutrition and wellness proposition. | General Chinese adults; primary consumer need and value proposition remain to be tested. |
| Format & use | The brand presents a daily multi-ingredient nutrition powder; comparisons must lock the region, version and label. | Drinkable powder proposed; serving size, dispersion, flavor, stick pack versus jar remain to be tested. |
| Formula & evidence | The brand publishes ingredient and research information; marketing claims do not establish effects for FD1 or its target population. | Exact ingredient identity, suitable dose and finished-product evidence require separate assessment; ingredient count is not proof of efficacy. |
| China market | A US product page does not establish eligibility for sale in China. | Explore cross-border retail first; review each SKU and ingredient. Eligibility is unconfirmed. |
What the team needs in three days
SupplySide Global 2026 · Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas · Expo hall October 28–30. This is a suggested sequence, not a booked schedule.
Meet the four priority candidates; confirm willingness, technical contacts, preliminary MOQs and scope.
Use the same brief with comparison candidates; discuss samples, formulation, quality, stick packs and pricing.
Revisit open questions; request written proposals, an accountable contact and response date.
One project, clear accountability
Ask for one written scope: who is responsible, who performs each step, what is outsourced and what will be delivered. FD1 retains product and acceptance decisions.
The lead manufacturer should coordinate the chain; independent testing, regulatory work, branded ingredients or logistics may be outsourced and must be explicit in scope and price. China eligibility, customs, platform listing and consumer fulfillment require separate confirmation.
Who to meet first
The first four are the initial priority; the other four provide comparisons. Public capabilities do not establish an audit, acceptance of FD1 or production at our intended scale. Booths checked against the official directory on October 27, 2026; recheck the floor plan.

Industry map: coordinated by the lead contractor
The earlier study researched 156 companies across 8 major categories / 43 subcategories. Its 1,537 deduplicated exhibitor display names are a September 19, 2026 directory snapshot, not a claim that every exhibitor received full diligence.
Ask the lead contractor for an integrated scope first; engage independent specialists when validation, rights or expert advice requires it. The full research and workbook remain in the local FD1 project.
